Factories, component suppliers, tooling companies, technicians and logistics providers often work close to one another. Finding the right cluster can make a supplier search more relevant and easier to verify.
Start with the product, then map the cluster
The right search begins with the product’s materials, manufacturing process, certifications and target market. This information helps identify where experienced suppliers and their supporting supply chains are concentrated.
Compare more than unit price
A distant low quotation can lose its advantage if components travel between provinces, communication becomes slow or quality problems require repeated rework. Supplier capability, access to components, order size, export experience and logistics should be evaluated together.
Use the region to improve the shortlist
Once the relevant cluster is identified, factories can be compared within a more meaningful group. Visits are easier to organise, quotations become more comparable and the reasons behind price differences are clearer.
Choosing the right region does not select the supplier for you. It makes the supplier search faster, more relevant and easier to verify.
